CYMRAEG

24 December 2021

You will probably be aware that the Welsh Government’s First Minister yesterday announced a raft of new measures to help control the spread of the new Omicron variant of Covid 19 in Wales.

These measures come into effect from Boxing Day and include a restriction on numbers attending any indoor event to a maximum of 30 people. Obviously should these restrictions still be in place come the Wales Spring Fair, it would not be legal to proceed. However, Welsh Government’s aim is that these measures will only be needed for a short period of time, and at this stage we remain hopeful that the Wales Spring Fair will be able to continue as planned.  The team will continue to monitor current regulations and aim to review plans accordingly in the New Year. We will of course keep you all fully up to date with any updates.

Despite working towards a rescheduled date for the 2021 Wales Spring Fair in April, the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing and, with no clear timeframe guidelines as to when events will commence again, we unfortunately have no choice but to cancel the show for this year.

Without any clear guidance in regards to the restrictions that may still be in place by April, and taking into consideration the current infection levels across the country, it is unlikely that an exhibition/trade show will be able to go ahead in the next few months as planned.

Therefore, the next Wales Spring Fair will now take place from Sunday 23rd to Tuesday 25th January 2022.

We are, of course, extremely disappointed and saddened that we are unable to hold the show in 2021 but we are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back in 2022.

ANOTHER FIRST FOR THE WALES SPRING FAIR IN 2021
The Wales Spring Fair, celebrating its 42nd year in 2021, has firmly cemented its place as Wales’ premier home and gift show, continuing to grow from strength to strength.

In 2020 the show’s duration changed to a three-day show for the first time, taking on board the considerations of exhibitors, realising that time out of the office is precious, especially in the current trading environment.

2021 will see another change for the show, albeit a temporary one. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic the 2021 Wales Spring Fair will move to take place in April, from Sunday 25th to Tuesday 27th April 2021.
